The Indian startup ecosystem has seen a record-breaking year, with the second wave of the Covid pandemic in March and April this year alongside the Omicron scare at the end Of the Decade leaving everyone anxious about what’s coming next.

The Indian startup ecosystem is on an endless journey to success. It has seen many milestones and successes in the last few years, but 2021 will be remembered as one of its most incredible points when we look back at all that has been accomplished!

The world of technology is always changing, and we’re here to cover it all. This year has been no exception! We delivered more than 3500 projects in diverse industries like Automotive, Real Estate, Medical, Education, Banking, Retail, B2B, B2C, and more.

“Welcome to the final month of 2021. What a ride it’s been, right? I hope you’ve enjoyed my take on our successes, failures – and why (I think) we should continue to expect them in the future.”

What were some of your team’s accomplishments this year?

“Our biggest success was putting into practice all that we learned. We stepped up our game when it came to executing strategy; knowing what worked for us last year made things easier (and more effective this go-around).” What do you mean by “putting into practice”?

“We executed.” …Executed?

“Yes…we ‘executed’ our strategy. It also helped that we learned from our past mistakes and refined what was working for us.”

Looking back, what would you say were some of your biggest failures this year?

“We struggled with maintaining consistent growth. During so much change – and with so many new players in the space – it was tough to stay on top of things. But we’re hopeful that 2021 will be a more prosperous year for us.” What do you think is necessary for consistent growth?

“I think it’s important to always be learning, adapting, and evolving. The market is constantly changing, so you can’t afford to stand still. You have to be curious and relentless in your pursuit of knowledge; that’s how you stay ahead.”

OUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS

In the face of unprecedented events, our team pulled together to make important progress. We achieved so much in a year that seemed like it would be impossible at times – especially with all these crazy things happening around us constantly!

Here are a few of our wins:

AS AN ORGANIZATION, WE’VE SEEN AMAZING GROWTH!

This year has been one of the most exciting and fulfilling years in our company’s history. We expanded service offerings, and grew by another awesome human being which allowed us to increase productivity even more than before! And we’re not done yet: there are still many things left on this list from all those who have inspired us these last few months – thank you so much for your support!!

WE PERFECTED OUR CRAFT

In the time of COVID, marketing had to change and we adapted quickly. We helped our customers pivot so they could stay in touch with new clients through social media communication or by providing them with more information about their product online; it’s all up to you!

We love a challenge and keeping audiences engaged. That is why we were so excited when the executives challenged us to innovate for them to stay up-to-date with changing times! It has helped strengthen our skill set tremendously, dare say maybe even under pressure too?

WE GREW STRONGER & CLOSER AS A TEAM.

This year has been challenging, and I think we were all a little worried that our closeness would fade with us working remotely for so long. But it certainly hasn’t! There are no days when we don’t talk or text each other at least once in between meetings; not even during the pandemic (It’s good to know you care).

It’s been quite the year, and we’ve had our ups and downs. But as always Foreignerds stuck together to make it through! The pandemic was tough but with some good vibes from everyone at home base camp, things are looking up again 🙂

OUR REFLECTIONS

A lot was going on in 2021. And it taught us some valuable lessons about marketing principles that are more important than ever before!

The following are some of the best ones that stand out to us:

CONSISTENT, AND CLEAR COMMUNICATION WITH YOUR CLIENT IS KEY

The pandemic changed how we all do business, but it’s those who kept their customers in the loop and informed with timely updates that had an easier time with things. And as seen by this recent crisis (and others), a solid communications plan will help you when urgent messages need to be sent out for your audience:

In this instance, your clients want to know:

  • If you were open.
  • When you are open.
  • How they could get the services from you
  • And what needs to be expected when they contact you (e.g. wearing a face mask, keeping social distancing, etc.).

We were so happy to help our clients build out and execute communication strategies this past year. It gave them a solid foundation for future use, which will only get better with age as well!

Communication is key during a pandemic, and you never know who might be checking. Your customers want to know what they can expect from you no matter the situation- even if it’s just in case of an outbreak! So make sure that both yourself as well as any customer service rep are always on point when communicating with each other; whether through social media channels or email, inboxes don’t matter so long as everyone has access at all times.

Keeping in touch with your customers is vital for the success of any business. This includes answering their questions and addressing concerns quickly so they have time to make other plans if needed, as well as expanding on what you said when necessary about new services or products offered at your establishment!

Having good customer service isn’t just important- it’s essential if we want people to come back again soon (and tell all those friends!).

If you’re still on the fence about getting serious with digital marketing, now is a great time to start.

Digital Marketing – A Powerful Tool

Digital marketing is a powerful tool for any brand to use to increase their awareness and bring in new customers. It’s not just the only way, however, it became everything when trade shows stopped having this as an option after 2021 due to what we know now about human interaction being so necessary nowadays.

Building an online audience that cares about your business is not easy. It’s a lot of work, but it will pay off in the long run if you take this step toward success with a marketing strategy today!

You can change your business in a flash with our easy-to-use, mobile-responsive website. We’ll help you stay up-to-date and informed so that when the world changes around us again – as it inevitably will–you won’t need any extra effort at all!

When you need to come up with new and innovative ideas for your product, the listening audience will be there every step of their journey.

When times get tough and you need to ask your customers for support, they are waiting with an engaged community that is ready.

The future of your company is in digital marketing. The world has changed, and if you want to be successful now more than ever before then developing a strong online presence should happen right away!

OUR PREDICTIONS

The future of marketing is bright, with these five key roles to ensure a successful business in 2022.

NEED FOR FLEXIBLE MARKETING PLANS

Who would have thought that in just one year your marketing plans could change so much? We all know how fast things happen these days – but if you’re not prepared for it then accidents will happen. It’s important to be able to pivot when necessary and learn from them quickly because circumstances never stay stagnant forever!

You can’t always get what you want, but sometimes with a little innovation and creativity, anything is possible. As the new year approaches keep this mindset going as it could be just what inspires your marketing strategy for 2022!

Might 2021 or 2023 also be perfect time investments to help guide decisions along?

THE SIGNIFICANCE OF TELLING A GREAT STORY

The future is about connecting through the story. In a world filled with content, we need human connection and storytelling more than ever before to make an impact on people’s lives in positive ways for our business successes together!

As the year progresses, it seems like we are drifting further and further apart. Not only that but there is a time when people can’t seem to come together for one cause or another which has caused even more Division among humanity as well!

We all want to feel like we belong, and when the connection is humanized with vulnerability it can be incredibly powerful.

The future is bright for those who share their stories. This year, we hope you seize the opportunity to communicate your mission and brand in a way that resonates with customers!

You are not just a brand. You have stories to tell, and we hope that in 2022 you will seize the opportunity to share those stories with your customers so they can get to know YOU-not only as part of our marketing efforts but also on an individual level!

People will always connect with people (not companies). No matter what, pandemic or no-pandemics there is an unbreakable human connection that cannot be escaped.

The future is bright for us and we can’t wait to share more stories with you in 2022. We also want this opportunity as a send-off from one year of success, wishing each one of our readers all the luck over the new year!

We discussed with Vivek Raina – VP, CTO, and Co-Founder at Foreignerds, which is a leading mobile app development company, and here is a glimpse of what he said about it.

  1. Let us know first, how are you and your family doing in this COVID-19 situation?

Vivek Raina: My mom got infected with the virus around 5 months ago. She suffered and was then hospitalized for approximately 20 days. When it comes to senior citizens, it takes some time to go.

That is my personal experience of Covid. Consequently, all well since then. We are taking all precautions as well as in-home lockdown.

  1. Let us know about you, your career, how you discovered Foreignerds.

Vivek Raina: I am a VP, CTO, and Co-Founder of Foreignerds. I have spent 15 years with the industry and realized the potentials through those times. Then, we mutually decided that it is time to do something better, and we boomed 6 years ago. Now, we are working with clients from most industries and putting value into their businesses.

  1. How do Foreignerds originate?

Vivek Raina: We originate through prerequisite and try to discover gaps that are time-taking, create problems, and go unnoticed. We try to tackle them through technological solutions and implementation of processes, and we have done that efficiently for ourselves and our customers for the long term.

  1. How the coronavirus pandemic influences your business, and how are you fighting with it?

Vivek Raina: Enormous. Since the local lockdown is here, we had to close offices and transformed our operations into a remote working environment, and that’s actually not so easy. In fact, we utilized tools and all the supports we could feasibly get to make it a clear transition. We have seen a little drop in Productivity when working from home, and anybody who tells you inversely is lying. Well, we’ve taken comprehensive measures to handle that, and that is where everyone cope is with organizations of our size. 6-7 hours spent on the phone, meetings, and every senior management staff.

  1. Have you taken a tough decision? If yes, then what are the lessons you learned?

Vivek Raina: Yes, we did. We’d to let individuals go because they couldn’t manage the culture of the work from home. We had to spend lots of time educating individuals and dealing with IT problems and Google Meet, or Zoom calls. We had to spend lots of funds on tracking, monitoring, and compliance tools, and we’ve accomplished some helpful insights on how to deal with the coronavirus pandemic and the new normal. When the Covid-19 surge begins and the lockdown starts, we have numerous troubles. Now, one year has been over with fighting these situations, and I must tell you that it has been very difficult to deal with it.

  1. What software, tools, and management capabilities are you utilizing to navigate this crisis?

Vivek Raina: Tools like Teramind, Microsoft Teams, OneSpan, ActivTrak, among usual suspects i.e. Jira, Slack, Bitrix, etc.

  1. Who are your main competitors? What is your strategy to stay in the competition?

Vivek Raina: We always try to compete with ourselves and try to make ourselves better from our past experiences and yearly outcomes. That’s what we trust as a company and as an organization. The web services and outsourcing space that we work in is an age-old business and you have to do things inversely and in a better approach to stay focused and be efficient. So, we don’t focus on what others are doing, but people do look at us!

  1. Your final thoughts?

Vivek Raina: We are known to be Foreignerds because we are a gang of nerds working from a foreign space, catering to our worldwide customers and offering great quality outsourcing services at affordable and moderate cost.
